New Sainsbury's plans on show in Tewkesbury
A 2 day public exhibition of plans for a new supermarket in Teweksbury is starting today. (Friday 23 March)
There will be a chance for local residents to look at Sainbury's proposals and give feedback.
The proposals will be on show at the following locations:
- The Corn Exchange, Tewekesbury Town Hall between 1pm - 7pm, on Friday 23 March and10am-2pm On Saturday 24 March.
- Alex Cunningham Building, Oak Drive, Northway between 10am - 5pm on Friday 23 March and 10am - 2pm on Saturday 24 March.
Ben Littman, Regional Development Executive at Sainsbury's said, 'Public consultation is crucial to the development of the plans and the feedback we receive during public exhibitions contributes to the final planning application.'
The proposal for the new store includes a petrol station and a new roundabout on the A46 at the site entrance. Sainsbury's say it would create around 300 full and part time jobs.
