Jennifer Aniston, Christoph Waltz on Outrageous Lines and Horrible Bosses 2

Jennifer Aniston reprises her role as a sex-addicted dentist in New Line’s “Horrible Bosses 2,” which hosted its L.A. premiere at the TCL Chinese Thursday. Although Aniston clearly relishes playing against type, her character’s outrageous behavior and the on-set improvisation sometimes pushed her into awkward territory. (Variety‘s review, however, remarked that Aniston was “game as ever.”)

Jason Sudeikis had a ready (and mature!) answer for whether he’d ever had a horrible boss. “No, not really, because I got what I deserved. I was not into those jobs the way I should have been,” he explained.
Castmates Christoph Waltz and Chris Pine offered some specifics about bad bosses.

Pine, however, also noted that he may not have been ready for a career in the food industry. “You’ve got to be really open to do food service well.”
At the Sadie Kitchen afterparty, the pic’s producers shared their enthusiasm for shooting locally in California. “Horrible Bosses 2” received a tax credit under the state’s lottery program, which will see a major expansion in July.

“I think that doing the rehearsals and the shooting here made it so that everyone was more accessible since LA is their hometown and it was therefore easier to make time to work through the script leading to moments like the slow-motion walk scene,” said producer Chris Bender.
“There’s a comfort level that you can’t get when you’re working out of town. I’d be watching them argue about a scene and realize, ‘Oh my god, that’s the scene.'”
“It’s rough working away from your family,” Bender said. “I just finished four months in Atlanta — which is an amazing place to work — for “Vacation,’ which was tough.”
Bender, who produced with Brett Ratner, Jay Stern, John Rickard and John Morris, said that being in California also made it easier to get Pine and Waltz to come on as villains. “We got pretty much everyone we wanted on this.”
“Horrible Bosses 2” opens Nov. 26.
